Download curlr Beta

Free for macOS, Windows and Linux. curlr is in beta, so expect a few rough edges, and tell us about them on Discord.

Installing curlr

The first time you open an app downloaded from the internet, your operating system asks you to confirm it. curlr is signed, so it is safe to continue past these prompts.

macOS

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Curlr into your Applications folder.
  2. Open Curlr from Applications.
  3. If macOS asks "Curlr is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?", click Open.
  4. If it says macOS cannot verify the app instead, open System Settings, choose Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway, then confirm.

You only need to do this once.

Windows

  1. Run the Curlr installer (the file ending in -setup.exe) from your Downloads folder.
  2. If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep.
  3. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
  4. Follow the installer, then open Curlr from the Start menu.

Windows shows this for new apps until they build up a download history with Microsoft. It doesn't mean anything is wrong.

Linux

From a terminal, for the package you downloaded:

AppImage
$ chmod +x ~/Downloads/Curlr_*_amd64.AppImage && ~/Downloads/Curlr_*_amd64.AppImage
Debian, Ubuntu
$ sudo apt install ~/Downloads/Curlr_*_amd64.deb
Fedora, RHEL
$ sudo dnf install ~/Downloads/Curlr-*-1.x86_64.rpm

If the AppImage doesn't start on Ubuntu 22.04 or later, install FUSE: sudo apt install libfuse2t64 (or libfuse2 on 22.04).

Updates are automatic. Once installed, curlr checks for new versions and updates itself, so you only download it once.
